This is how we show off

WHY SHOW OFF?

Showoff reclaims a word often misunderstood. Where some see bragging or excess, we see love and flavor shared at full volume, just like our abuelas taught us. Because showing off isn't about ego. It's about sharing joy, creating connection, and turning ordinary moments into magic.

So go ahead, raise some eyebrows.

Made to Share

Some gather to eat. We eat to gather. In our kitchen, every meal is a declaration of love, and around our table, everyone belongs. The best flavors are meant to be passed down, passed around, and never kept secret.

Messy & Loud

Salsa macha drips, crunches, and stains the tablecloth–and that’s exactly the point. Real flavor refuses to be contained, just like the best memories are made when you stop holding back and start living out loud.

Extraordinary Magic

True magic looks effortless, like abuela making a perfect dish without measuring a thing. But we know that's pure intention and wisdom. We took generations of that wisdom and created something bold, boundary-pushing, and unforgettable.

Showoff turns up the volume on every bite, transforming quiet meals into can't-stop-talking-about feasts. When you've got something this good, staying humble and keeping it to yourself isn't just difficult—it's impossible.

Meet the founder

A woman setting a plate of food at an outdoor table with lush green bushes in the background.

Born in Mexico City and raised in the Bay Area, Margarita grew up around crowded family tables and in the bustling kitchens and bars of her parents’ restaurants and nightclubs.

She watched her parents, abuelas, aunts, and uncles build and nurture community through food and gathering. As a kid of immigrant entrepreneurs and grandkid of activists she learned to trust herself, take risks, lift others up, and have deep pride in being Mexicana.

Today she’s the friend who throws the big parties and hosts midweek dinner gatherings… You could call it her love language. Her secret weapon in the kitchen has always been her Mami. For years, friends have asked her mom to teach them to cook. The most requested item: salsa macha.
